Training and Education Committee
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Fraternal Order of Police, Maryland State Lodge, Inc.,
to encourage all members to improve personal skills, knowledge and abilities
necessary to represent the values and accomplish the mission of the Fraternal
Order of Police through education and training. First, well-trained members are
generally better prepared to act decisively and correctly in a broad spectrum of
situations. Second, training results in greater productivity and effectiveness.
Third, training fosters cooperation and unity of purpose.
The Training & Education Committee provides Maryland FOP Leaders with comprehensive,
up to date training, which assist them in providing the highest possible level of
service to each FOP member. Focusing on topics that help leaders better perform
their duties and prepare them for new responsibilities, this committee produces
planned training seminars for its members.
The Training & Education Committee is always accepting ideas for topics of interest.
