Safety Committee Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Safety Committee of the Maryland State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police to ensure our members a safe work environment. This includes but not limited to: safe police equipment, radios, vehicles, procedures, buildings, critical incident stress management, biohazard procedures, OSHA, accidents and training.

It is not the purpose of this committee to put the blame on anyone but to correct problems to prevent accidents.

It should be noted that the safety committee is made up of the 18,000 plus members of the Maryland State FOP because safety is everyone business. What can affect one lodge member can affect us all.
